The quality of the short fibers greatly depends on the growing conditions of the crop. As we source our flax from various production regions, we always have a wide range of qualities on offer for short fibers. Short fibers are processed into a purified fiber, which is free of most of the woody parts.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Hackled tow<\/strong><br \/>\nDuring the hackling of long fibers and processing into hackling sliver, hackled tow (short fibers) is produced as a by-product. This hackled tow is pressed into square bales. The qualities depend on the hackling sliver production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>SKAL<\/strong><br \/>\nThe entire processing installation is SKAL certified for the production of officially recognized, organically produced hackling sliver.
